It has been one year since Layne Staley passed away. Let's all celebrate his life by listening to his music. I recommend Mad Season's "Above," which was released in 1995. This is one of the best albums I've ever heard.
LONG GONE DAY
Lyrics: Layne Staley/Mark Lannegan
so much blood i'm starting to drown - runs from cold to colder
time to time the sky's coming down to help me lose my way
tears and lies for answers
you and open veins
god knows i'm gone
girl i just want you to come on down
lord it's a storm am i heading to fall
these sins of mine and i've done wrong
oh babe, come on down
come on down my babe, long time, na na na, ohh
long gone day
ooh, ooh, yeah, hoo
hmm, whoever said we wash away with the rain
see you all from time to time
isn't it so strange how far away we all are now
am i the only one who remembers that summer
ohh, i remember
everyday each time the place was saved
the music that we made
the wind has carried all of that away
long gone day
hmm, whoever said we wash away with the rain
so many tears i'm starting to drown
the rains in heaven's all come down
silver spoons affix the crown
the luckless ones are broken
fears and lies for answers
you and open flames
god knows i'm gone
and i just want you to come on down, mmm
lord it's a storm am i heading to fall
these sins of mine and i've done wrong
i want you to
oh i just want you to come on down
i fear again, like then, i lost my way, hmm
and shout to god to bring my sunny day, oh

Updates Schmupdates
Updates will be listed right here, foo! Be sure to check in frequently, because I fully intend to update this sucka as much as possible. In fact, it's a good idea to BOOKMARK No Shelter Web so that you'll never forget to check in! ;)
April 20, 2003: I just updated this page, duh!
I also edited the About Page. There's some good info in there!! ;) I also updated the Custom2 Page. I also created the NO SHELTER NEWS page in catalog page (no, it's not a catalog).
March 7, 2003: I'M BAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!
It's been a while, indeed. Check out CustomPage for a whole new section on Buddhism.
CustomPage2 (or the Random thoughts/Calendar of events page) has been updated, as well.
CustomPage3 is updated with a new Special Feature.
The Catalog, What's New, and Contact pages are new, but do not contain anything yet. I will use these in the very near future, but not for what their titles suggest. I won't have a catalog, the new stuff is always mentioned on the home page, and you know how to contact me (scroll down).
Stay tuned for more updates.

First person who impresses the hell out of me wins a free lunch, courtesy of yours truly.
Remember, I am not an easy man to please when it comes to imagery and such.
TIPS: If you really want that free lunch, your work needs to do a few things: 1) it needs to convey an important message, 2) it needs a strong and powerful image, 3) it needs to be unique, and 4) it should be touching (more of a suggestion, not a requirement).
Legalese: Free lunch to winner will be determined by me, your loyal webmaster. That means the day, time and location. Anyways, you shouldn't feel bad, it's a free lunch, after all.
If you do not live anywhere near El Paso, I will mail you the monetary equivalent of a free lunch (about 10 dollars should cover it). Kat, I'm looking your way on this one. ;)
